1章コミュニケーションの基礎
本章では、このあと第Ⅰ部で紹介するパターンを使いこなすための土台を紹介する。まずパターンとアンチパターンの意味について説明しよう。
- パターン
- なんらかの問題を解決できることがわかっている再利用可能なソリューション。
- アンチパターン
- 推奨されないソリューション。ある問題を解決するための正しい方法のように見えるが、実際には生み出される悪影響が利点を上回ってしまう。
本章にあるパターンとアンチパターンについては、他のパターンと組み合わせる前に一つ一つを確実に使いこなしておくことを強くお勧めする。ビルの建築と同じように考えてほしい。壁、床、屋根を作る前に土台を整えておく必要があるのだ。建物を砂の上に建て始めてはいけない。まずはきちんと土台作りをしよう。
1.1 相手を知る
相手を知るパターンは顧客を理解するとしても知られている。図を作成、編集する際に留意すべき重要な要素の一つは、それを見たり読んだりする相手である。図の目的は受け手とうまくコミュニケーションをとることだ。相手を知り、ニーズに合わせた図を設計することが肝要だ。
あなたの図を見る人のロールとしては次に挙げるものが考えられる。
- 開発者（フルスタック、フロントエンド、 バックエンドなど）
- アーキテクト（テクニカル、ソリューション、セキュリティなど）
- ビジネスアナリスト
- プロダクトオーナー
- プロジェクトマネージャー
- 顧客
- サポートチーム
