Many people suffer from mental health issues such as depression or anxiety. Here are some creative ideas to help you combat these ailments and to maintain and strengthen your mental health.
Go outside
We spend much of our lives inside buildings, whether offices, shops or homes. Go for a walk or a run in the country and experience a change for the body and the mind. As the UK NHS site says, ‘Walking is simple, free and one of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight and become healthier.’ The change of environment and closeness to nature can provide a mental stimulus. Many people find that they get their best ideas away from the office and while walking.
