Deploying Hyper-V
Let the fun begin! All the preparation work in the project has been completed. You have purchased your servers and storage. They are racked, powered, and waiting for you to get Hyper-V up and running.
We will start this chapter by looking at the installation of the parent partition, also known as the host operating system. This is your software prerequisite for enabling the Hyper-V role on Windows Server 2008 R2. You might manually install Windows, the patches, and Hyper-V in a small, one-off deployment.
