NIC Teaming

Microsoft does not provide any support for NIC teaming in any of its products. This is a bit of an issue with Hyper-V. There may be many virtual machines on a single host server. A NIC, cable, or switch port failure could terminate the network connectivity of all those virtual machines.

All is not lost; Microsoft's hardware partners have updated their NIC teaming solutions to include support for Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V.
