It is important to patch any Windows application or server; Hyper-V is no exception. We have two reasons to patch Hyper-V host servers. The first is to fix bugs in the software or to make feature improvements. These are the sorts of fixes that come out once every few months. The second is to fix security vulnerabilities. Unfortunately, these are the sorts of patches that are released every month and usually require rapid testing and deployment.
