Once the VM has been created, you need to install the OS as you would do for a physical machine. There are two methods available to install the OS on a VM:
- Using PXE: You don't need any installation media for this installation type and the guest OS you install must support PXE installation.
- From media: You install the guest OS from CD/DVD media or from an ISO image. The use of ISO images is generally faster.
To select what mode the VM should boot, you need to adjust the boot order. To change the boot order, you need to edit the VM BIOS:
- Edit the VM settings and expand the option Boot Options under the VM Options tab.
