FCoE
FCoE encapsulates FC frames over Ethernet networks, using 10 Gbps (or higher) Ethernet networks at layers 1 and 2. But the rest remain FC protocols stacks, (note that FC is a complete network stack, so no IP, UDP, or TCP protocols are used) and you still need specific FC skills (for example, for fabric zoning), plus specific new skills for converged networks (such as DCB protocols).
For CNA cards, you can use NPAR and enable hardware assisted FCoE at ESXi level, with the right driver, you will see a new VMware storage adapter called vmhba acting like a traditional FC HBA. The rest of the configuration is all at the fabric and storage levels as described before.
