Managing Workplace and Environmental Hazards
Introduction
Broadcast engineers are perhaps most familiar with workplace safety issues relating to human exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy, which can be found in Chapter 2.4 of this handbook. However, as places of employment, broadcast facilities also must comply with a broad range of workplace safety requirements. In addition, materials are present at broadcast facilities that could be hazardous to humans or the environment that must be handled in accordance with environmental requirements.
