Once you have a clear vision of your goals and target population, you are ready to start brainstorming to develop themes for your community. Here is an exercise to get you started.
1. | For a moment, try to forget about your products and the millions of statistics coming from your marketing department. What are the interests of your target users? What are their needs in their daily lives? What themes do these suggest? Write them all down.

2. | Cluster the themes in bigger groups. Try to identify five to seven groups. These groups are a basis for navigation structure within the community, for example, to cluster discussion groups.
