It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

A scale is a great tool for keeping track of your weight, but you still need to put in the work if you want to change the readout. The same thing is true when it comes to communication. Being a great communicator is a trait of a great Influencer, and it is something we can practice.
Although our core focus is to build great products that our customers and users will love, the actual work we do is mostly “people” business. To collaborate with different kinds of people, and influence them effectively, we need great communication skills.
