This chapter has taken you deep into the implementation of learning algorithms. You’ve implemented the error backpropagation algorithm using Python. Congratulations! That was certainly an exhausting chapter, but definitely worthwhile.
We explained the theoretical basics such as gradient descent, and you saw what learning actually means—namely, error minimization. The meticulous process of running a learning iteration has surely made your calculator or smartphone overheat.
From a programming point of view, this was definitely the most challenging part of the book. In the following chapters, we’ll focus on frameworks and introduce you to their use, such as TensorFlow in Chapter 8.
