13.3 Dreamed Images

In 2015, Google presented a method known as DeepDream. Alexander Mordvintsev had developed this method, and its publication initiated a veritable internet hype. Researchers in the field of deep learning wanted to know what their CNNs are dreaming about.

Figure 13.16 shows an example of a landscape in the fall on the left and the image on the right after applying a DeepDream algorithm, that is, the dreamed version.
