Scheduling and budgeting for DV production are highly complex activities—and hard-won professional skills. We can't possibly cover the whole process here. A pair of software packages can help you do the job: Movie Magic Scheduling and its companion, Movie Magic Budgeting. Or you can do your scheduling the manual way, using color-coded markers and breakdown sheets as described in the bible of production managers: Film Scheduling, by Ralph S. Singleton.
