Storing Your Project Files For Possible Re-Edit

It may feel like this edit will never end, but it will—and you'll need to think about how to store your work materials when you're done. Even professional systems with their huge hard drives don't have enough disk storage to hold more than one big project at a time. When you remove a project from your computer to get ready for the next one, you want to make sure you'll be able to resume the edit later, if necessary—even at another editing facility, on a different NLE system, or with a different editor.

As you prepare to take a project off your system, follow these guidelines:
