Zebra pattern:

A feature on some prosumer and all professional camcorders, a slanted-bar symbol that appears in the camcorder viewfinder superimposed on overexposed areas in the scene. Also called “zebra stripes,” or “zebra.” Chapter 4.

Zoom lens:

Lens with continuously variable focal length. Zooming in increases magnification and makes the subject seem closer, while zooming out does the opposite. Chapter 3.
