Evaluating Event and Projection Stores
The first step in choosing an event store needs to begin with understanding your requirements and that you’re not limited to choosing a single product.
A key requirement is to define your application’s data storage needs. An event-sourced system has three key types of persistent data, each with their own unique requirements:
- Aggregate state (snapshots)
- Projections (materialized views, read model)
- Event Log (write model)
