No discussion of persistent event stores would be complete without talking about the event store, EventStoreDB.[25] EventStoreDB is an open-source database that specializes in storing events (their documentation calls them “state transition events”) and real-time streaming.
Storing and querying data in an EventStoreDB instance is a unique enough experience that it’s worth going through a quick tutorial on it. It’s easy to use, easy to install, and, with the right amount of effort, can support massive production installations.
