Upgrading Lunar Frontiers
The best way to experience the shift away from experimental mode, where everything is stored in memory and destroyed once the application stops, is to make these changes to a real application. In this section of the chapter, you’ll take the Lunar Frontiers game from the previous chapter and upgrade it with a durable event log using Postgres. You’ll also use this opportunity to clean up and refactor a few things.
First, copy the lunar_frontiers_1 application directory to a new one, lunar_frontiers_2. You’ll be working out of this new directory for the next few sections of the chapter.
