About the Author
Artur Balasinski received the PhDEE degree in MOS (metal oxide semi-
conductor) technology from Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw,
Poland in 1987, where he continued as assistant professor. He then joined
the research team at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut to continue
studies on rad-hard devices. Subsequently, he entered the integrated circuit
(IC) industry, rst in research and development at STMicroelectronics, work-
ing on CMOS process transfers, and, since 1997, at Cypress Semiconductor,
