simulated transient responses are quite accurate, whereas others deviate by a signicant amount
from the analytical solution. The RK-2 integrator is unstable when K ¼250 and T ¼0.1 s, and the
RK-4 integrator exhibits instability for the case when K ¼250 and T ¼0.2 s. The reader should
conrm that lT ¼0.35 þj1.5740 and lT ¼0.7 þj3.1480 fall outside the stability regions for
RK-2 and RK-4, respectively.
