I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Picture-Taking Lens
e picture-taking lens projects the image you’re shooting onto the electronic sensor
where the picture is recorded. is lens also captures the image you see on the LCD
monitor on the back of the camera.

RAM Buffer
e RAM buffer stores image data in the camera’s random access memory (RAM) be-
fore transferring it to the memory card. e RAM buffer enables advanced functionality,
such as Burst and Movie modes. e camera can move picture data to the RAM buffer
much faster than it can write data to the memory card. So, when you use Burst mode,
for example, the camera captures a sequence of shots in the RAM buffer and then trans-
fers the data to the memory card after you’ve released the shutter button.
Certain camera models have figured out how to write directly to the memory card. So,
if your digicam doesn’t have a RAM buffer, don’t worry, it’s still good.
