USE YOUR CAMERAPHONE AS A VISUAL NOTETAKER

My point is, think of cameraphones as data recording devices. Signs, menus, people you
meet, they’re all perfect subjects for you to capture with your iPhone and then refer to
later when you need the information.
One of my absolute favorite uses for my cameraphone is to take a picture of the sign in
the ginormous parking lot where I leave my car before boarding a plane. A week later,
when I’m on the shuttle from the terminal to the parking lot, all I have to do is refer to
my phone to see exactly where my car is located. It’s wonderful!
When traveling abroad, take cameraphone pictures of your hotel, restroom signs, and
taxi cabs. Even if you don’t speak the language, you can point to the picture on your
phone to get help.
Any sort of visual information that you need to remember is fodder for your phone.
Don’t take notes, take a picture. And with email becoming easier all the time on smart-
phones, you can then simply attach the photo and send it to yourself or a friend who
needs the information.
