I wanted to learn C and C++, but it didn't click for me until I picked up an O'Reilly book. When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.
I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.
I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Anyone who has worked in an organization recognizes the negative impact of unresolved or festering conflicts within a team. There are team members who do not get on or who avoid working together; there is the damaging gossip; there are teams who work to undermine their managers; there can be backbiting and downright denigration of others; sometimes there are alliances and sub-groups, with those who are ‘in’ and those who are ‘out’, and perhaps a manager or team leader who does not know how to manage or to challenge team members effectively.
Such situations will often end up with some kind of eruption of frayed tempers, or some ‘incident’ will occur and formal complaints such as a grievance or bullying complaint ...
