  • Is the speech accurate in all respects—facts, figures, names, etc.?

  • Are your quotations, metaphors, analogies, etc., suitable? Do they add clarity and enlightenment?

  • Is your humor suitable for the audience and the occasion? Is there anything that might offend?

  • Does the overall content support and advance the stated purpose of the speech?

  • Does the thesis come through clearly?

  • Does the speech meet the expectations of the sponsoring organization?
