After making an important discovery, a scientist was so much in demand as a speaker at scientific gatherings that he hired a chauffeur to drive him to his speaking venues. Over a period of months, he and the chauffeur became close friends. On one occasion, the scientist complained that he was tired and needed to rest.
''Professor,'' the chauffeur said, ''I've heard your speech so many times that I could deliver it myself.'' Well, one thing led to another, and the professor decided to give it a whirl.
