I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Useful books
The Big Book of Beastly Mispronunciations, by Charles Harrington Elster, Houghton Mifflin, 1998. This book is just what its subtitle suggests—"The Complete Opinionated Guide for the Careful Speaker." An excellent resource for speakers who want to "say it right."
The Handbook of Good English, by Edward D. Johnson, Facts On File, 1991. This is one of the best grammar handbooks ever. Its explanations are clear and its arrangement makes it easy to use.
The Write Way: The SPELL Guide to Real-Life Writing, by Richard Lederer and Richard Dowis, Pocket Books, 1995. This is a good, all-around guide to better writing. It was published under the auspices of The Society for the Preservation of English Language and Literature (SPELL), P.O. Box ...
