So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

ver shows the version of Windows
you’re using. You can also find the Windows version
at Control Panel → System
→ General tab, but it
won’t show you the revision number.
ver takes no options.

/r This undocumented option also displays the revision number, and whether DOS is located in the high memory area (HMA; the same as DOS=HIGH).
Notes
Windows XP is known internally as Windows NT
5.1.xxxx, where
xxxx is the build/revision number.
