As part of the overall innovation process, it is only logical that HR itself
would have to change so both its processes and its employees are more
innovative. Making HR a leader in innovation is no easy matter because HR
has a history of being conservative and risk adverse. That of course raises a
controversial question: Can you convert the current HR staff and make them
innovative, or do you need to recruit new HR professionals who are already
innovative? As an HR professional, it only makes sense that you examine
yourself, your capabilities, and your approaches to HR to determine how
you can learn how you can better drive innovation within the HR function
and throughout the business.
