The third tool for the control stage is a Japanese term called Poka Yoke.

Remember the goal of this phase is the creation of a standard of work; the

ultimate goal is to have that standard be what comes to play every time you

initiate the process. Poka Yoke is intended to make the standard of work

mistakeproof. It means setting up your workstations so that everything has

its place, and that place is clearly marked. For example if you needed a form

1-9 completed by a new hire, the form could be found in a specific labeled

location in the HR workspace.
