So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Getting a Google Maps Embed API key
For the examples in this chapter, you'll need an API key for each of the Maps APIs. You can sign up for a free Google Maps Embed API key here: developers.google.com/maps/documentation/embed/get-api-key. Just get the Embed API key for now, you can get the JavaScript API key later.
Note that you're not required to restrict your key, but you should! This means that its use will be restricted to the domains that you specify. If you restrict your key, be sure to add ampproject.org to the list of domains permitted to make requests with your key. This means your pages will still work when served via the AMP cache.
