It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using Google Analytics with <amp-analytics>
Let's take a look specifically at how to use Google Analytics in AMP. Much of what follows here will be applicable to other vendors, but you'll need to familiarize yourself with the requests and variables supported by those vendors. The following request types are supported in Google Analytics for AMP:
- pageview for tracking pageviews
- event for tracking events, such as clicks or scrolls
- social for tracking social interactions
We've already seen how to do pageview tracking both with amp-pixel and amp-analytics, so we'll jump straight to click tracking.
