Objects vs. Bitmaps

Computer imaging programs are typically designed either to work with objects or with bitmap images. CorelDraw 10 is an object-oriented drawing program. Objects are created using drawing tools that make shapes defined by mathematical formulas. Objects are also known as vectors or drawings.

A vector object has properties that define it, such as color, shape, and size. An object is displayed with smooth lines and continuous colors, whether viewed from far away or up close.
