Working with Layers

Using the Object Manager docker (Figure 13.6), you can create and work with layers. Each layer's settings determine whether it can be seen, printed, or drawn upon.

If you're creating a multi-page document, you can also designate master layers—where any contained graphics and text will appear in the same place on every page. For instance, if you were designing a company newsletter, you could place your logo on a master layer, rather than having to copy it to each page.

To open the Object Manager docker:

• Choose Tools > Object Manager. or
• Choose Window > Dockers > Object Manager.
