Using Grids

Grids (Figure 9.13) are extremely useful for creating precise drawings, such as flowcharts, office layouts, blueprints, and anything else that requires straight lines, uniform shapes, and exact alignment. The grid dots or lines are non-printing.

To set up a grid:

Choose View > Grid and Ruler Setup. or Right-click a ruler and choose Grid Setup from the pop-up menu that appears. The Grid section of the Options dialog box appears.
