Terms You Should Know

Following are some basic—yet essential—terms you will need to know as you use CorelDraw 10.

object An object is an independent element that you can modify. Everything you draw in CorelDraw is an object.

path The outside perimeter of an object. Paths can either be open or closed (Figure 1.39). Paths pass through nodes.

properties Object attributes, such as fill color, size, and shape.

handles Eight black squares that appear around a selected object (Figure 1.40); used to change an object's dimensions or shape.
