Define the Steps

With a basic format and style in mind, it’s

time to do a big-picture assessment of

what it will take to produce your news-

letter—how much it will cost, how long it

will take, and how many people will be

necessary to make it all happen. Making

that assessment now will help prevent

surprises later.

Budgets, schedules, and workforces

are interdependent—an ample budget,

lots of help, and a lengthy schedule pro-

duces a different set of expectations than

a thin budget, few hands, and a tight
