Asset Visibility

Large enterprises struggle to maintain accurate IT asset inventories. This is because there are many potential sources for hardware and software purchases. If the IT organization does not know about a particular IT asset, it is likely not in the IT asset inventory. IT usually knows about an IT asset when configuration change management is needed or when a vulnerability assessment scan is performed.
