The z900 server is supported by Linux:
Kernel 2.2 based Linux for S/390 - 31 bit Distribution
Kernel 2.4 based Linux for S/390 - 31 bit Distribution
Kernel 2.4 based Linux for zSeries - 64 bit Distribution
VM support for LINUX using FCP and TCP/IP Broadcast is in z/VM Version 4 Release 3.
IBM is not a distributor of Linux software. Commercial distributions of Linux for zSeries are
available from third-party Linux distributors, such as Red Hat, SuSE, and TurboLinux. To learn
more about distributor offerings, contact these distributors through their representatives or

The z900 server is supported by VSE/ESA Versions 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, and 2.7.
The minimum VSE/ESA software levels required to support thespecified OSA features are as
follows:
