So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

B.1 Hardware Management Console (HMC)
The HMC is used to manage multiple systems via a customer’s Local Area Network (LAN).
The recommendation is that the LAN be a private LAN and that physical and routing access
to the LAN be planned and controlled by the customer.
HMCs supporting the z900 server can also be used to manage previous generation S/390
processors such as 2003, 9672, 9674 and Multiprise 3000 (7060), as well as some 9037
Sysplex Timer and 9032 ESCON director models. Limited function is also provided for the
IBM Fiber Saver (2029) Dense Wave Division Multiplexer.
