Enhanced Dynamic Storage Reconfiguration
Dynamic Storage Reconfiguration (DSR) on z900 servers allows a System Control Program
(SCP) running in a partition to add its reserved storage to its configuration, if any unused
storage exists. With DSR, the unused storage does not have to be continuous. When the SCP
running in a partition requests an assignment of a storage increment to its configuration,
LPAR checks for any free storage and brings it online dynamically.
