The zSeries Fiber Cabling Service for z800 and z900 servers provides a fixed price
contracted service to meet the needs of the customer’s system configuration. Included in this
service is an analysis of the existing fiber optic infrastructure and the zSeries server
configuration to determine the possible cabling options available to integrate the z800 or z900
server, including jumper cables, conversion kits, and Mode Conditioning Patch (MCP) cables.
Copper cables can also be provisioned for attaching OSA-2 Token Ring and Fast Ethernet
features and OSA-Express Token Ring and Fast Ethernet features.
