I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

3. The total number of FICON, FICON Express, PCICC, PCICA and OSA-E cards cannot exceed
16 per I/O cage. Therefore, the maximum number of FICON/FCP cards is 48 (96 channels) on
a z900 general purpose or capacity model with three I/O cages FC 2023 when no other PCICC,
PCICA, or OSA-E cards are installed.
4. There are two types of “virtual” channels that can be defined and that require CHPID numbers:
– Internal Coupling (IC) links; each IC link pair requires two CHPID numbers.
– HiperSockets, also called Internal Queued Direct I/O (iQDIO). Up to 4 virtual LANs can be
defined, each one requiring a CHPID number.
