“What we found in the research phase among faculty and the
student body was an extraordinary creative energy,” says creative
director Laura Stein. “We asked ourselves how this logo could
reveal that energy. And focusing on student work felt like the right
way to do it.”
Each year, graduating students from all disciplines submit images
to be incorporated into a base of black-and-white pixel “win-
dows,” which act like modular frames to hold student work.
Those selected see their art turned into the university’s logo for
the coming year.
