The chosen route drew from Bitencourt’s love of color and sinu-
ous, organic lines. Making several drafts, he crafted the shape of
a body with its leg up and arms outstretched so that it appears
to be taking flight.
“If it’s a real-life object you are drawing, then it would make sense
to draw it with hard lines and a restricted color palette,” admits
Bitencourt. “I on the other hand love curves, variation in line,
and experimentalism.” The chosen design is as much about the
abstract qualities of acting as it is a depiction of what a student
at the school might physically do.
