So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
In the example, we have configured the IssueWarningQuota, ProhibitSendQuota, and ProhibitSendReceieveQuota limits for the DB1 mailbox database. These are the storage limits that will be applied to each mailbox that is stored in this database. Based on the values used with the command, you can see that users will receive a warning once their mailbox reaches 2 GB in size. When their mailbox reaches 2.5 GB, they will be unable to send outbound email messages and when they hit the 3 GB limit they will be unable to send or receive email messages.
You can override the database limits on a per mailbox basis using the Set-Mailbox cmdlet.
