It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Using PowerShell, we can do much more with Windows Defender. For example:
- We can get the status of anti-malware software on the server by running the following cmdlet:
Get-MpComputerStatus
- We can also get the history of threats detected on the server using the Get-MpThreat cmdlet.
- As a last resort, we can disable real-time protection by running:
Set-MpPreference -DisableRealtimeMonitoring $True
