So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
Our mission with this recipe was to change the permissions for the Default user. We start off by checking the default permissions for the public folders.
The second command removes the Default permissions from all public folders.
Finally, we give testuser Reviewer permissions to all public folders. The difference now is that the Reviewer isn't able to create items in the folder, which was our objective.
You might wonder which permissions can be used and what kind of access they provide. The possible values that can be used with the -AccessRights parameter are as follows:
- Read Items: The user assigned with this permission can read items within the designated folder.
