I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to do it...
- To be able to install the Edge Transport role on Windows 2012 Server and Windows 2012 R2 Server, there is a technical prerequisite, which is to install the Windows feature called Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) by running the following PowerShell cmdlet:
Install-WindowsFeature ADLDS
- After the operating system roles and features have been installed, it is time to install .NET Framework 4.6.2. This is recommended for any Exchange 2016 version, but a hard requirement starting from CU5.
- Another thing to consider and solve prior to starting the installation is to make sure that the Exchange 2016 Mailbox servers can resolve the names of the Edge servers and vice versa. Since the Edge servers are placed ...
