So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
DirectQuery real-time monitoring datasets
DirectQuery datasets require a single database on a single supported data source, such as SQL Server, Oracle, and Teradata. Therefore, to support a DirectQuery dataset in which SQL queries would be passed from Power BI to the data source as users accessed and interacted with the reports in Power BI, a process or job needs to be scheduled to load a single database with the three data inputs (performance counter files, configuration values, and wait statistics).
