The details of a database, such as the size, collation, filegroups, database options, and so on, can be viewed via SQL Server Management Studio or using the sp_helpdb stored procedure. The process used to do this is explained in the sections below.
The following steps explain the process of viewing the details of a database via SQL Server Management Studio:
Click the Start button, point to All Programs, select Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and then select SQL Server Management Studio.
Log in to the instance you want to use, and then click on the + sign next to Databases to expand the list of databases.
